Everyone’s favorite three brothers from Wakefield, The Cribs have returned with ‘Burning for No One’, a new single from their soon-to-be-released sixth (yes, sixth!) album ‘For All Our Sisters’. Clocking in at a smart three minutes and 14 seconds, it’s The Cribs at their best. Similar in tone to ‘I’m a Realist’, it contains all the things we’ve come to love about The Cribs – a killer riff, some spoken-shouted vocals that are full of angst and passion and some perfectly played-out ‘oh, oh, oh’s’.
A festival anthem in waiting, there’s an un-Cribs-like sheen in the production that just seems to just add a little extra delight. Indie stalwarts now, The Cribs have lit the flame in the countdown to the new record – let’s hope it erupts in style!
