Foxtrot Gastropub is one of the newest addition to the popular culture in Marathalli, Bangalore. This gastropub is known for its quirky & rustic interiors and fusion food. The place is huge in size and the seating is comfortable with even high chairs by the bar. There is even a separate space for small private parties. You may find a popular DJ playing amazing number after now and then.
Foxtrot has an extensive menu when it comes to liquor and the bar area is a testimony to that. We tried the What a match (a), Kiwi and Passion Fruit Mojito and the Foxtrot Mojito. Each of the drinks were crafted in a specialized fashion and had distinct flavors. Even their Mojito is made with a color changing syrup which goes purple upon addition of lime juice.
When it comes to food you can expect to be blown away with some authentic fusion flavors. The Chaupati Bhel Bar comes from Mumbai and you can taste each and every flavor of this Indian classic street food. The chutneys used are intense packed with relishing flavors. The Jerk Spiced Cottage Cheese wasn’t any exception. It was tasting the whole barbeque experience in your mouth. But the best item on the menu is probably the Corn Crusted Potato Burger. These small burgers are served with crispy wafers and are simply incredible. The corn potato patty is filled in a butter bun with loads of kasundi. Fantastico!
We also had the Bocconcini Cheese and Fresh Basil Pizza which is loaded with cheese. It is a simple pizza with roasted tomatoes and basil. The Malai Kofta curry with Butter Naan is another Indian classic. The curry was rich and creamy with cashew’s. The soft butter naan are probably the best to try the Kofta Curry with.
Foxtrot also has a wide range of quirky desserts like the Mango Basil Bhapadoi or the Jalebi Churros. The Mango Basil Bhapadoi is a based version of the misti doi with flavours of Mango and Basil. It is served with a walnut crumble and the combination is amazing. The Jalebi Churros are large fingers of Jalebi with rabri in fondue format. This dessert was so-so as the jalebi’s were too large and the rabri was a bit more salty than usual.
Overall, Foxtrot is here to stay. If you are looking to experience something new, Foxtrot is the place for you.
