The Classics Club Read-a-thon Begins. For Me, Anyway.
The Second Annual Classics Club Read-a-thon is here, and I can't imagine a more perfect time for it. First of all, because for once I'm actually free to begin! Secondly, there's supposed to be incredibly cold weather descending upon us...which happens to be my favorite kind weather because when I'm not out walking in a snow encrusted field, I'm reading in my favorite chair looking out over it. Perfection!

Name and Blog:Bellezza here, of Dolce Bellezza. But in real life? You can call me Meredith.
Snacks and Beverages of Choice: Currently I'm drinking a cup of Twinings Chai tea. But, I'm so looking forward to going out this evening for Chinese food where my son is a head waiter. I want something spicy and hot and salty.
Where are you reading from today? A suburb of Chicago, Illinois. Where I woke up to 27 degree temperatures which are steadily falling. Dare I hope for a Snow Day on Monday?!
What are your goals for the Readathon? Love that it's no pressure. I never can plan on reading for the Dewey Read-a-thon, for as soon as I decide that I will an unavoidable situation arises. There's always church the next morning, for which my husband and I are greeters, so I won't be able to read through the night. But, I plan on doing all the reading I want before going back to work on January 6.
What book(s) are you planning on reading? Currently I'm reading Roberto Bolano's 2666, and I'm almost finished with Part 1. It's caught my interest completely, and I suspect I'll continue with it. But, I may have to interject a few short stories for my Japanese Literature Challenge 7.
Are you excited?Almost as much as I was on the first day of Christmas Break.
