On my most recent trip to New York for visa related business, my mom and I were able to fit in some much needed shopping. Okay, not really 'much needed', but now that I will not need a uniform for the coming year in France, I have the justification of replacing my blazers and button-downs for euro style clothing! In preparation for this coming year, I've been trying to buy less in bulk and more consciously by buying some interchangeable pieces that can carry me from season to season. Because we alllll know I can't fit my clothes into only two suitcases like I need to. :) Although, this article from Teen Vogue has proved very helpful, I must say. One item on my list of 'need to buy' for a long time has been a t-shirt dress. While I didn't find the exact one I wanted, I found this stretchy bodycon-ish midi dress from Brandy Melville, which I can see myself styling through fall + winter. In order to add a bit of pizazz, I picked up a moto-style vest from the Aritzia sale that definitely adds to the look without adding too much fabric for the current weather.  Aside from the heat I just referred to ^^, can we discuss how annoying the weather has been of late? I'm in some serious need of sun and mother nature says, "Nope! Have some rain and gloomy clouds?" In the mean time, I've been practicing my French like a madwoman (I recommend the film 'Coco Chanel Avant Chanel') and attending beach concerts? Yeah, I don't know either. Seeing as I'm quite scatter brained and the night is no longer young, I shall be off to bed! Hope you guys had a splendid weekend. xx
