Last weekend, I hopped on a train to Milan to catch the Chainsmokers in concert (I still can't believe that happened!!). Amidst the craziness that has come with midterms, breaking out my awkward dad-like dance moves was the perfect stress relief. Although my friends and I had heard that they weren't very good live in terms of vocals, the Chainsmokers proved all negative critiques wrong. In addition to playing all of their new, popular songs, they mixed in some awesome remixes of the Lion King, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Kanye West, among numerous others. I also really enjoyed their opener, The Him, who remixed some really awesome songs by Martin Garrix and Smallpools, which aren't so mainstream. The venue, Fabrique Milano, also added to the close-knit atmosphere of the concert-- if it had been at a stadium of sorts, it probably wouldn't have been as great of an experience. I am so beyond excited to see The Lumineers next month at the same venue!
I feel so sorry for neglecting this space as of late. I'm not sure I've been this busy/stressed/lost in general in a while. This coming Monday, though, we set out on academic travel with our classes! My business class is going around Switzerland for two weeks with visits to various enterprises and the United Nations, and then I am going to Paris with a couple of friends. I am looking forward to being back in France with baguettes and macaroons at my fingertips. Yesss. How're you all doing? I'll probably be back with photos from my travels very soon!
