TVS iQube Price Hiked

FEM-II, the central government’s subsidy scheme for electric vehicles, has come to an end with the commencement of April 2024. But instead of returning the buyers empty-handed, the new ‘Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024’ or EMPS has been launched from the first day of April. But despite this, the price of electric vehicles has increased slightly. Because the amount of subsidy payable in EMPS is less as compared to FEM-II. One of the most popular two-wheeler brands in the country, TVS Motor Company (TVS Motor Company) said that buying their only electric scooter iQube will cost more than before. However, the price increase due to EMPS is not much.

TVS iQube price hiked from April

Please note that EMPS scheme will be valid till July this year. That is, if no project is implemented again from August, then there is no subsidy on electric two wheelers. The standard variant of the TVS iQube is currently priced at Rs 1,46,628, while the iQube S is priced at Rs 1,56,420 (ex-showroom). Now with Rs 10,000 subsidy under the EMPS scheme, the price of the two models stands at Rs 1,36,628 and Rs 1,46,420 respectively.

TVS is believed to have shouldered the burden of Rs 8,925 and Rs 5,670 for these two electric scooters. Incidentally, a 3.4 kWh battery pack is present in the iQube STD and S. It offers a range of 100 km on a full charge. Powering the wheels is a 4.4 kW BLDC hub motor, with an output of 140 Nm of torque.

This battery operated scooter is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 78 km per hour. Notable features include a 5-inch TFT screen with Connected Tech and turn-by-turn navigation on the standard variant. Whereas the S trim has a larger 7-inch touchscreen with 5-way joystick controls.
