Review

Find the audio book at the library and it look like an interesting thriller. With this book being a series you do not has to read the previous books to know what going on.

It proven to be so. The story and mystery was engaging. The characters were fully flush out. I did spot a few red herrings that add to the twist and turn of the story.

Having never been to Maine the author does a great job of describing the environment, the towns, and culture of the area. The explanation I first got of Maine was on my final week in Vermont I meet this girl from there. Let just say the three girls I work with in that week I had issues with their personifies. The girl from Maine said that everyone there is rAccIst. It was said in the most brain dead boy who cry wolf way possible.

This book gives a good insight to Maine and what its like being a game warden.

The experience of trauma changing someone in to an entirely different person runs deep in this story. That person can become a hallow shell or unpredictable and a danger to themselves and others. The story catchers the elements of human nature well.

Well I listen to this on audio I can tell the writing is good however the narrator tries so hard to do a good job. Making the characters voices district from one each other did not work.

What does the Bone Orchard mention once in the book has to do with the story?

Nothing. That the only this I am disappointed about the book.

Being a good thriller and the long ride to the work site is what kept me wanting to listen for more.

Have you read any of the Mike Bowditch books?
