Harris is one of my favourite writers and she did not disappoint with this delightful fairy tale. First off, it took me a ridiculous time to realise the blue salt road of the title referred to the ocean. Doh! The book is beautifully illustrated and this adds to the overall enjoyment of the book. The Blue Salt Road isn't exactly original and the tale is a familiar one but delightfully written. I enjoyed every word.
