The Bloomberg Billionaires Index is showing Oprah major love!
According to the site, Oprah’s fortune hit a record $4 billion on Monday. That accomplishment made her the first black female entrepreneur on their list of the world’s 500 richest people. She’s at 494, just behind Mark Cuban and Ross Perot.
The milestone is in part due to the performance of Weight Watchers, which she purchased a stake in and helped to market.
The bulk of Oprah’s fortune comes from ownership of the Oprah Winfrey Show, and then she owns the bomb cable network.
