Plot: After being captured by an undead countess and her cursed followers, Marcia, a retired pentathlete, must rely on her outdated and rusty athletic abilities to endure a terrifying hunt for human prey. Reluctantly, she teams up with a strange yet charming fisherman and an irritable cop in a suspicious alliance to increase her chances of survival against all the odds.

Story: The Bitter Taste starts when former pentathlete and hunting guide Marcia (Dordel) loses her job and looks to leave town. However, on her journey, she bumps into a mysterious woman with a warning about a cannibalistic countess.
Marcia teams up with a charming fisherman Josh (Pasetti) and a grumpy cop George (Alexander-Sieder) to investigate the local area. However, she isn’t prepared for what she discovers and must do battle with the deadly countess.
Verdict on The Bitter Taste
The Bitter Taste is a horror thriller following a group of survivors fighting back against an evil undead countess. They must put their differences aside to battle back against the twisted plans that most of the village seems to be in on. However, the Countess wasn’t prepared for how prepared the survivors were.
This movie dives into the mystery surrounding a small town and the tradition of an undead Countess. It puts a down on their luck woman in a deadly game of survival. She gets to show off her athletic abilities to overcome different challenges, as the secrets get elevated per challenge. It keeps you on the edge of your seat as you wonder what could happen next and what the cult’s plans are. This uses the concepts of outdated traditions to create a survival horror, creating a series of different challenges, threats and enemies to deal with. Julia Dordel is excellent in the leading role of the movie as a character with nothing to lose in her battle for survival.
Final Thoughts –The Bitter Taste is a twisted battle for survival.
