Verdict on The Big Ugly
The Big Ugly is a crime thriller following two crime families looking to come together to make a deal. However, when one does something unthinkable to the other, a war breaks out between the two sides.
This is everything you would come to expect from a movie that sees rival gangs clashing. It has people who want blood and others who want to keep things peaceful, but death changes everything. It doesn’t offer too much new but keeps the formula simple and effective throughout. Most of the action is held back and more focus is placed on the family dynamics.
Final Thoughts – The Big Ugly is a by-the-book gangster movie.
