There have been many speculations about the upcoming Nothing Phone (2a) for a long time. The phone is going to be Nothing’s third smartphone and is likely to be their first budget-friendly handset to launch in the market. Several details about the specifications of the Phone (2a) have already leaked online, with multiple renders even revealing the phone’s design. But recently, a publication surfaced some inaccurate renders of the phone, adding confusion to the speculation surrounding the device. However, these were later recognized as ‘fakes’. And now a tipster has released live images of the Nothing Phone (2a)’s protective case, indicating that early design renders of the phone likely showed the correct design.

Here comes the case render of the Nothing Phone (2a).

Case renders of the Nothing Phone (2A) have been shared online by SlashLeaks. The images show that a cutout for the camera setup is positioned horizontally on the phone’s case. This is consistent with previous design renders, indicating that they are likely correct. If accurate, this would be a far cry from the vertical camera module found in the previous two generations of Nothing phones.

However, there is also an inconsistency with the case design. It has no cutouts for the Nothing Phone’s iconic Glyph LED interface. So not sure right now if this is really the case with the Nothing Phone (2A). However, the specifics will be known soon, as Nothing is going to officially reveal details about the upcoming phone today. However, it is not clear what exactly the company will reveal about the device. However, they can reveal the design of the Nothing Phone (2A) and confirm some of its features.

According to recent reports, the Nothing Phone (2a) will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor, which will offer up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage capacity. Whether Nothing’s announcement today supports these facts remains to be seen.
