Lately when my children fight or call each other names , one will come to me tattle telling about the other.
” He called me STUPID!”
I have responded lately with:
” Well, are you?”
It puzzles them for a second and gives them time to think. They of course reply with the answer no, but I see their wheels turning. I am teaching them that their identity is not reliant others views of them. Don’t get me wrong, I deal with the other party in this situation. Both need attention and guidance. I don’t freak out and go to the other child to punish just yet, I am calm. Showing them I am unphased by accusations against them . Momma is completely confident you aren’t stupid.
This goes for my adult life too. I have had some questions about what I have seen in the spirit realm, and honestly some not so polite comments. That is ok with me, I’m not writing for everyone to agree with me. I just want you to agree that God is a personal being.
I’ve been asked a lot this week whether the gifts of the spirit are for today, and whether seeing into heaven is biblical or not. I can assure you I do not claim to have all the answers, nor do I want to. That’s the beauty of living in Him, there is always more to learn. Otherwise we would be terribly bored. I also don’t claim to be a perfect woman, and I feel like I express my faults on here quite comfortably, and often. But I am not defined by them. I’m defined by HIM in me.
This year I have been released of fear of man. This can also mean fear of woman, ( mostly fear of woman ). Let’s be honest women can be ugly to one another. I feel that there are many women out there that ARE experiencing the supernatural but are being held by fear , unable to voice their experiences as the enemy holds his hand over their mouth.
When we have encounters with the Lord, they are for our own personal gain, yes. Often I keep a lot to myself in His confidence that the time we had together is just to remain between us. Just like husband and wife. But at the same time I am learning that when we voice our experiences in the spirit realm people are set free. They are encouraged. They are given new hope.
I’ve never felt lead to research the bible, looking for verses on visions or dreams or spiritual gifts. But this week with the back lash I have received it got me researching. You have to understand that this is all I know . A life with him, in freedom. Him speaking and me receiving his love in this way. I don’t write to impress man with the gifts I have been given, I write to expose his love.
I came up with a few verses that although I do not need convincing that what I am seeing is real and heavenly, but others have doubts.
These verses breathe life into my very soul and shed truth all into my soul.
Even in the beginning , he spoke….
Genesis 46:2
” God spoke to Israel in visions in the night and said ” JACOB” , ” HERE I AM”
Exodus 3 2:3
The angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush, and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed. So moses said ” I must turn aside now and see this marvelous sight, why is the bush not burning?”
Ezekiel 11 25-25
And the spirit lifted me up and brought me into a vision by the spirit of God to the exiles in Chaldea. The vision that I had left me. Then I told the exiles all the things the Lord showed me.
Daniel 2:19
Then the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed God.”
Acts 2:17
In the last days, God says, I will pour out my spirit on ALL my people. Your sons and daughters will prophecy, your old men will dream visions.”
Hebrews 2:4
God also testified to it by signs, wonders and miraculous miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.”
You guys. The gifts didn’t end when the book Revelation ended , they were just beginning. If we allow him to take charge of our minds and hearts, and leave him abundant room to speak , he will. When we erase religious mindsets and false expectations of what God should look like, act like and be like. we open room for creativity. He is creative with his love.
