One of the most psychologically terrifying films of the 90s, this film shows off the talents of Sir Anthony Hopkins as a brilliant psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer Dr. Hannibal Lecter. When FBI trainee Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster in an equally convincing performance) meets with him in hopes that he can help her track down another serial killer named Buffalo Bill, he indulges in the chance to manipulate with her and to play. Based on the Thomas Harris novel of the same name, it's one of the story's many TV and film adaptations, but it remains the best.

One of Martin Scorsese's early films remains one of his most poignant. in the taxi driver Robert De Niro plays Travis Bickle, a disaffected taxi driver who dreams of murdering presidential candidate Charles Palantine. He also finds it in his heart to rescue a prostitute (played by 12-year-old Jodie Foster) and murder her pimp. The Vietnam War backdrop plays a huge role in the film as Bickle's vigilance makes him a hero for some and an antihero for others, working towards a climatic shootout and a memorable ending that can be interpreted to this day.

Bryan Fogel researches and experiments with the idea of illegal doping in sport and how easy it is to use performance enhancing drugs and avoid detection. He discovered an international doping scandal. The documentary follows Fogel on his journey in amateur cycling and the explosive allegations of Grigory Rodchenkov, the head of the Russian anti-doping laboratory. Rodchenkov initially simply helped Fogel with his experiment before eventually revealing alleged Olympic doping programs and his involvement in them. The film earned Fogel an Oscar for best documentary.

Sandler received praise for his performance and proved once again that he can do far more than play characters that offer goofy humor and cheap laughter. Critics praised Sandler's dramatic lashes when the film was released, as well as the Safdie brothers, who have an undisputed talent for delivering stress-inducing films at every turn.

This Italian-language neo-noir crime thriller, funded by Netflix and RAI, is based on the novel of the same name by Carlo Bonini and Giancarlo De Cataldo. The story is inspired by real events of the Mafia Capitale in 2011 that affect organized crime and politics in Rome. If you really want to dive even deeper into the story, check out the 2017 prequel TV series. Suburra: blood on Rome before or after the movie. Set in 2008, the series deals with the events that led up to what happened in the film. There have been two seasons so far, with a third and final season set to debut in 2020.

For fans of the AMC series breaking BadThis film is the epilogue they have been waiting for to answer the unanswered question of what happened to Jesse Pinkman. For others who may not have seen breaking Bad It is still a marvelous film about a young man on the run from a clearly filthy past. It closes off Pinkman's story with a nice little bow, and provides plenty of cameos and throwback references from the original series to make it a worthwhile watch for any fan who missed the show.

The scene is an alternative from 1982 when an alien spaceship landed on Earth with sick and malnourished insectoid aliens who are sent to an internment camp called District 9. Two decades later, an alien escapes with his son and tries to return home. The film was inspired by Cape Town's Sixth District during the apartheid era and is said to include some found footage, including interviews, news broadcasts and surveillance videos, and highlight issues such as xenophobia and social segregation.

The story is adapted from Michael Connelly novels, including the 2005 book of the same name and others with the character of Haller. McConaughey has been hailed for his charming performance as a lawyer doing most of his business in the back seat of his car, and the film itself has been described as "lively entertainment."

In a subject that has been explored in many different ways recently in both television series and films, this film is about a man whose consciousness is transferred to the bodies of others after he dies. Every time he invades a new friend's body, he tries to warn him about the person who killed him and protect them from the guilty party and the harm. While the movie has only nine reviews of Rotten Tomatoes so far, it has received widespread praise from everyone who has seen it. So it might be worth looking for something that goes beyond the typical Hollywood-backed films.

The ethics of journalism remains a hot topic to this day, but it has never been better fictionalized than in Moth. Lou Bloom (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a stringer who goes out of his way to record raw material on his camcorder and sell it to the local Los Angeles TV station. Bloom isn't overwhelmed with tampering with the crime scene or even taking a greater personal stake in the action if that maximizes his shots - let alone leverage over Nina, the morning news director. Power is tossed aside by the power of the almighty dollar, reminding the audience, "if it bleeds, it leads". Jake Gyllenhaal is more compelling than ever in a film that was nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the Academy Awards.
