Verdict on The Best Man
The Best Man is an action thriller following a military unit coming together to celebrate a wedding. However, a former member of the unit has their own plan for revenge as he attacks the wedding party. Now, the soldier must come together to use their skills to defeat an old friend.
This looks to bring to life another version of ‘Die Hard in an X’, with it being at a hotel resort for a wedding. The invasion of the resort is a good sequence. However, this feels off, as we have three different military men taking on what feels like a small number of enemies. It never feels like they are in any danger and ends up leaving us with anti-climax. The performances are fine but nobody really stands out and by the end of the movie it feels like we missed a trick.
Final Thoughts – The Best Man is the standard late-night movie.
