The best indoor home security cameras for 2020

There are many Home security camera in the market including smart doorbells, Outdoor cameras and models with face recognition. Inside Security cameras are your watchful eyes when you're gone takes care of your valuables - or just a security camera to keep an eye on a mischievous pet.

They range in price from $ 20 to several hundred dollars and offer a variety of Features and Specifications. I've highlighted three of my favorite models below to help you choose the best indoor security camera for your needs.

Let's start with the price: the Wyze Cam is only $ 20. In a sea of expensive surveillance cameras, the Wyze Cam offers killer value. Combine that with the straightforward Wyze app, easy installation, and solid performance - and you have an excellent indoor surveillance camera.

The special thing about this surveillance camera is the free two-week cloud storage and the integrated microSD card slot for local storage. You will need to purchase a microSD card separately, but this is standard for most cameras with local storage. This smart camera supports voice commands from Alexa and Google Assistant and has a motion detection zone. Read more from CNET.

The $ 200 Netatmo Smart Indoor Camera, formerly called the Netatmo Welcome, is one of the few indoor surveillance cameras that work with HomeKit Secure Video. HomeKit Secure Video is a service that works with the Home app only for iOS. It offers 10 days of free event-based video history stored in iCloud.

Few security camera companies still offer free cloud storage (ahem, Arlo) - and even fewer offer 10 full days of free cloud storage. Wyze is an exception with the two-week free storage space for this indoor security camera. This is one of the reasons it's my favorite indoor camera right now.

Netatmo's Smart Indoor Camera features 1080p HD live streaming, a 130-degree field of view, night vision and local storage with an included microSD card. This security camera also has facial recognition capabilities when creating a database of friends and family members. In addition to working with HomeKit, the Smart Indoor Camera also supports voice commands from Alexa and Google Assistant. Read more from CNET.

At $ 299, the Nest Cam IQ Indoor is definitely expensive for a security camera. But there are tons of high-end features with a lot of appeal too. First, it has 1080p HD live streaming, free person notifications, and a 4K image sensor. This 4K image sensor enables a feature called "Supersight" that magnifies a person and tracks them in the camera's field of view.

When you pay for a Nest Aware subscription that starts at $ 5 a month, you get access to facial recognition. With facial recognition, you can create a database of friends and family in the app and then receive custom notifications when the camera detects "Dave" or "Molly".

The Nest Cam IQ Indoor also has a built-in Google Assistant speaker for general or smart home-specific voice commands. Read more from CNET.
