The Shelbourne Hotel
This is the signature five-star hotel in Dublin, and you certainly won’t miss the red-brick building, which has been standing since 1824.
The location couldn’t be better, and it’s an easy five minute walk to the city center. The hotel was closed for eighteen months a few years ago, and given a makeover that has since brought in plenty of crowds.
Make sure you get a south-facing room, so you’ll have views of the mountains, compared with the north-facing rooms which don’t have a view at all.
