There's a big misconception in the entrepreneurial world that you can either have a business or have a job, and that there's no in between, but what about in those early stages of building a business when you still have nothing but an idea and you also have a family to feed?

The great thing about a bridge job is it's not something you're going to be committing yourself to for the rest of your life, so even if you go through a temp agency or recruitment agency like Pure Staff, then you'll be able to find something that's enjoyable and manageable whilst you work on your business at the same time - and you may even pick up some additional skills along the way.

Having a bridge job can not only help you stay focused on the important aspects of taking care of things like bills and daily life without putting yourself under too much stress, but also give you the freedom, time, and money to reinvest back into your business when you need to without applying for loans or just living on hope marketing by thinking clients will just magically find you.

In this post, we want to share with you some of the great benefits that having a bridge job can offer you so that you no longer have to worry about choosing between your entrepreneurial dreams or feeding family, and can actually pay the bills until your business takes off the the way you imagine it will.

Less stress to figure things out:

One of the great entrepreneur traits is that they're known for taking risks, but this isn't always such a great thing when you have a mortgage to pay and kids to feed, so having a bridge job will allow you to feel less stress as you figure out if this is actually the correct path for you before you go all in. That's not to say you're betting on failure, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with being sensible and ensuring you have all your ducks in a row before you start throwing money at something that may or may not work out.

It will give you motivation:

If we're being honest, most people's motivation for starting a business is that they don't like the job they have, so having a bridge job can actually keep the fire of motivation burning to ensure that you actually do the work required to get your business moving and off the ground. This is especially true if you have a job that has all the traits you don't like about the working world, such as getting up at 6am for a 2 hour commute to the office, and then repeating the same at night again and only seeing your kids for an hour each day. Whatever your motivation for wanting to start your own business, having a job in the meantime will only inspire and motivate you to work harder at getting out.

You'll have money to invest:

One of the biggest benefits of having a job whilst working on your business is that you're not under the same amount of pressure to get clients so you can make money. You'll have an income coming in that will, not only allow you pay your bills and take care of your family, but will hopefully give you some extra cash left over that you can re-invest in your business.
