Hello everyone,
It’s a Holiday weekend! Yeah! I hope you have something fun and exciting planned. We’re going to the Eastern Shore of Maryland for the weekend. My husband, Christopher, along with my cousin, Cathy and her husband, Kevin are participating in a Century ride (a 100 mile bike ride). I’m the sideline cheerleader. I’m so proud of them. So far, the weather looks promising.
One of my favorite things to do is to visit gardens. I am always in awe of how landscape designers work and plan a garden. Every time I visit I come away with visions of how I want our garden to look. I can picture exactly how the colors and designs will look when the flowers are in full bloom. Over the years, we have managed to do pretty well in landscaping our garden.
Some of my favorite things to admire, besides the colorful designs of the flora, are all the interesting sculptures that are located throughout the gardens.
Sometimes it’s just nice to sit and relax while admiring the view.
Strolling through the gardens, you never know what surprises await you.
I was pleasantly surprised to find a fresh lemon tree.
A water lily pond with koi fish. An enjoyment for kids of all ages.
Even the ducks know how to enjoy the gardens and the pond.
The main attraction is always the beautiful design of the flora, especially when the gardens are in full bloom for the season. It makes strolling through the garden so much more pleasant when the colors are drawing you in.
And, finally, albeit not the greatest picture, you might come across a bridal couple getting their official pictures taken. Imagine how colorful those pictures will be!
When it’s in bloom for the season, a garden just makes you want to stop and smell the roses!
I hope you have a fun-filled and safe holiday weekend. Maybe, just maybe, you will now be inspired to go visit your local garden.
