The Baby Products You Need to Know About This Year

By Twothirstytravellers @2thirstytrav

There are so many new baby products on the market, and everyone has an opinion about the best baby products around, which can make the whole process of figuring out exactly what your baby tricky.

Luckily, we’ve done our research and have the baby products you need to know about this year:

Baby bath

Most people will get a baby bath at some stage, but the Puj Flyte will have you thinking “finally!” Simply set it in any sink and you have an instant baby bath. It will cradle your baby’s head, keeping them comfortable and safe, and is mildew and mold resistant (and non-absorbent for easy drying. The best part? The compact shape allows it to fit easily in your suitcase so you can take it with you while traveling and keep baby clean and comfortable on the go.

Breast pump

Unless you’re fine having your baby attached to you for the whole time you’re nursing, you’re probably going to want to get a breast pump. The Lansinoh Affinity Double Electric breast pump will help you express directly into your baby’s bottles, and it’s also all about comfort- with gel packs for relief after pumping and soft breast flanges.

Breast milk warmer

It turns out that the microwave and hot water can break down the nutrients in breast milk, which is why the Kiinde Kozii is such an ingenious product. It warms and thaws breast milk, and allows mom and dad to do night feedings without having to head to the kitchen to use the microwave.

Creams and ointments

There are so many different creams and ointments available that it can be tricky which ones to buy. Your best bet is to go for natural baby shampoo to keep harsh chemicals away from your baby, along with natural baby skin care and a heavy-hitting but gentle baby diaper rash ointment.

High Chair

Eventually, you’re going to need a high chair, and the Peg Perego Siesta is the best choice for those who are in it for the long-haul- it’s the only high chair you’ll ever need. The chair adjusts in both height and recline positions so your child can always be comfortable as they grow from infant to toddler, and it also folds incredibly flat, so can easily be stored out of sight.

Diaper bag

Diaper bags don’t necessarily need to scream “I’m a mum!”, and the Roma diaper bag comes in a range of mild colours that will allow you to take it to work or the gym once your baby is grown. For something a little wilder, check out the Jonathan Aldere collection which is perfect for mums on a budget who still want a designer diaper bag. The Duo has 11 separate compartments to store everything you need, along with a pull-out changing mat.

As you can see, while there are many baby products on the market, some are simply a cut above!
