Verdict on The Baby in the Basket
Recap
The movie follows a remote monastery that discovers a baby on their doorstep. They take it in, but soon things begin to change, leading to the nuns questioning their faith as an evil presence takes over.
Best Parts
The remote location shows how easily things can spiral out of control in the battle for faith. It uses the location to show the daily struggles and how easily people can be led astray. The creepy factor is also great as it shows the world spiralling out of control.
Worst Parts
Certain moments are designed as more odd, rather than connected to the baby’s arrival. Certain things feel unanswered and don’t connect to the bigger evil consuming the residents.
Final Thoughts – The Baby in the Basket is creepy throughout.
