I regularly buy Quick Reads books issued by the Reading Agency to encourage people who normally don't read to pick up a book. I forgot I had this one and found it in a random place last year when I was packing to move house. I enjoyed every story in this short collection. Most anthologies have a few duds but this wasn't the case with The Anniversary. Each story was enjoyable though some more than others. My favourites were The Other Half by Fanny Blake, Truth is Stranger than Fiction by Jenny Colgan, A Walk Outside by Matt Haig and Love Me Tender by Veronica Henry. The Anniversary caters for every taste.
