Donald Trump, and his congressional Republican cohorts, would have you believe that this nation needs to support the police and return to a law and order stance. They are on the wrong side of history once again.
A substantial majority of the American people are demanding change. They want an end to police violence and institutional racism.
Blacks in America are not asking for special treatment -- just equal treatment. They want to be treated the same as white people are treated -- and that is their right under our nation's Constitution.
It's no longer a question of whether change is needed. The only question now is what change and how much change is needed to provide equal treatment for everyone.
