Story: The Alleys starts with a street-smart hustler Ali (Azmi) goes about his business while winning the heart of Lana (Rahmani). Her mother Aseel (Omran) finds herself unhappy with their relationship and uses local gangster Abaas (Reyahnah) to solve her problem.
Ali isn’t going to stop seeing Lana, which leads to him putting together an elaborate plan to escape with her. While also taking on the most feared gangster in the city.
Verdict on The Alleys
The Alleys is a crime thriller that follows the events of a city where everyone knows more about what is going on than lets on. It sees a small-time hustler getting drawn into a battle with a deadlier gangster.
In a movie that is filled with twists and turns, this thriller keeps you guessing. It uses the relationships around the neighbourhood to move things forward nicely. This is a movie that keeps you wanting to know more about the environment.
The acting in the movie is strong throughout, keeping us wanting to learn more about their characters. It is smartly written and uses the community environment to move thing forward.
