The Academy Awards Rebranded as “The Oscars” Why Isn’t Working?

I’m sure a lot of you will be watching the Academy Awards’ tonight.  This  is actually the first year in which the award show has been officially Rebranded as The Oscars.

All of the domain names forward to the official site for the Award show at except for, which is the new official name of the Show, which inexplicably isn’t resolving although its under the control of the Academy and has the same servers of

The official site of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences is but they do not own which is parked

The Academy also own but they do not own, which is parked

The Academy owns  but does not own forwards to and is for sale.

Looks like the Academy hasn’t learned what domainers know which is the value of “The” domains.…
