The 1884 Jewelry Collection

By Glasgow Skinner/ My Life On And Off The Guest List @guestlistblog
A new jewelry collection launched in January called The 1884 Collection, a unique collection that is comprised of ancient Roman coins (in three sizes) used in the manufacturing of modern bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and rings; specifically coins featuring the following Roman Emperors - Ottaviano (63 B.C.) - small coin, Antoninus Pius (138-161 A.D.) - medium coin, and Alessandro III (356 B.C.)- large coin, which allows the collection to combine history and legend with contemporary fashion.  Available in three collections - Trevi, 1884 and Appia, the 1884 Collection brings the time-honored tradition of love and romance, straight from the Trevi Fountain in Rome.

Designer Alberto Petochi, who worked for Roberto Coin for over 12 years and is a sixth generation artist from a historic family of Roman jewelers, gave the collection it's name because his family has been in the jewelry industry since 1884.

Today, the 1884 Collection is a style for all who aspire to wear jewelry for not only the look, but for the legend and history that goes with each piece.
