I found some that really made me think, re-read and thoroughly enjoy. They stuck out because they were unique and really hit a nerve as well. I’m going to share them with you. (Of course there were many more great posts this past year but I choose to pick only 13.)

Here Are My 13 Favorite Blog Posts From This Year:

Marriage Isn’t For You – This was the blog post that had over 24 million views in just 3 days by Seth Adam Smith. It resonated with me because I disagreed and it really hit a nerve. Maybe that’s why it go so many views and over 4,300 comments!

What I Learned From Walking Away From Social Media for 5 Days – By John Paul Aguiar – This post appeared early in 2013 and I never forgot it. I wondered what would happen if I did the same, how many people would really notice?

Forget FOMO. I’ve got FOBF - The fear of being forgotten – A similar post to John’s by Nancy Jean of Just My Two Cents. Does anyone really care if we are NOT active on social media Nancy asks as she took a real two week vacation.

The Birthday From Hell by Adrienne Smith – A very sad blog post that will make you cry and realize how precious life is. Adrienne always keeps it real and this is real as it gets. My heart still goes to Adrienne on her loss. This is one of the most emotional blog posts you will read.

How to Configure WordPress SEO by Yoast Correctly?  This informative by Reginald Chan is one of my favorite blog posts for referring to directions for Yoast – an SEO plugin. It’s one of my favorite plugins and every so often I have to update things along the way. Yoast SEO plugin

sore from using computer? Is Your Sitting Posture Correct? I found this post to be one of the most informative blog posts for our blogging health. I started 2013 with a pinched nerve and offline for at least a week due to it. This post by Harleena illustrates for us the proper way to sit as we sit for hours on end at our computers. Don’t wait till your are in pain or unable to use your computer to check out Harleena’s post.

Bloggers Are Helpful - I think I really loved the image on this post by Ashley Faulkes. But this is a must read for new bloggers who don’t realize the value of relationships while starting their blogs. It really teaches us that we are not blogging alone on an island.

When A Wonderful Woman Tells Her Story – One of the best blog posts is an interview of Angela McCall done by Silviu from NetMarkSuccess. This was an awesome interview done that makes you get to know the person on a professional and personal level. I learned so much about Angela from this interview! It was one of the best interviews I’ve read. It included a video too.

How to Grow  Your Blog to 100,000 Visits a Month Within 1.5 years by Neil Patel – This is one of the best blog posts I’ve read on how to get your blog over the top and become successful. It really inspired me and I think every blogger should read it today.

Heading Into 2014 Blogging

It’s hard to believe we are almost done with 2013. Do you have new blogging plans for 2014?  What can we learn from the above posts to make ours more memorable in the coming year? I hope to have more blog posts in 2014 after reading Neil Patel’s post. Enstine Muki touched on this as well with his Alexa  ranking dropping fast in 34 days.  I will continue to research if SEO or Social brings more traffic in 2014 as the online landscape continues to change. On a personal note 2014 may bring dramatic changes to my personal life and some of these may touch on my online ventures as well. I’m sure I will learn even more and have more to share for 2014. As a wise uncle of mine always  says:

Life’s a journey, hang on and enjoy the ride!
