We have done a few other ‘top’ blog entries before but we have not yet done one for something as simple as watchs .. that’s right, everyone wants to know the time and most people wear, or at least own, a watch of some sort. So what are the best watches for men? We took some time to put together, what we believe, to be the top ten best watches for men, both in terms of style and price; build quality is also taken into consideration. 10. Timex Watches – See them
At under $30 dollars, that’s right… $30 dollars, this Timex watch is both affordable, features a great design and solid built. If you’re looking to get value out of your watch purchase, this Timex is a sure bet, that is after all why it’s on our list of the top ten watches of 2012, it’s both good looking and affordable. You may also consider this watch as a purchase just to wear on those trips where wearing the Rolex is too risky…
9. Citizen – See Them
Both for the sleek designs, build quality and most importantly, price point, we have chosen to Citizen watches as the holder of the number nine position. Most Citizen time pieces range from around $100 to over $500 which is in reality a very fair price for what you’re getting. Simply put, you cannot go wrong buying a watch from this company, as they explain, “during the last ninety-three years Citizen has expanded its business throughout the world and has achieved recognition as a global brand. The past 30 year period has coincided with the company’s dramatic rise to its current position as the world’s largest watchmaker, a distinction Citizen has held every year since 1986”.
8. Tissot – See Them
With price points just a touch higher than Citizen, Tissot is a great step up in terms of luxury, build quality, design and feel. Tissot offers a watch for almost any occasion, from weddings to clubs and safaris to deep sea diving, Tissot does a good job of providing a great watch alternative.
7. Victorionox
Victorinox Swiss Army has always done a great job of being recognized as a quality watch maker, not only does the company create a variety of attractive time piece styles, they are also built extremely well. Whether you like a leather band or steel bracelet, make sure you take a serious look at Swiss Army watches, as they are really quite nice.
6. Hamilton
The Hamilton story is a 120-year road that meanders from Lancaster in the United States to Biel, Switzerland, the world capital of watchmaking. 5. U-Boat

2. Rolex
Yup, Rolex watches made our list.. common, were you surprised. Not only has Rolex been building incredible time pieces for years, it is also one of the most recognized watches in world, it helps that it’s also built with superior craftsmanship. This specific model, the Rolex Submariner Green Dial Men’s Watch, features a Stainless steel case with stainless steel bezel, 31 jewels automatic Rolex movement, sapphire crystal (scratch resistant) surface and more for just under $11,000 USD.
1. Panerai
Panerai watches took the number one position on our top ten watch chart for several reasons, but most importantly because it truly is a watch connoisseurs time piece. I would argue that Panerai watches are made with more precision, craft and care than Rolex’s in the same price range… agree? This specific model, the Panerai Men’s PAM000298 Luminor Marina Automatic black dial watch, is a shining example of the type of simplistic sophistication that Panerai is famous for.
