The #1 BEST Piece of Blogging Advice
There are so many great things about blogging but then there also some not so great things about blogging. One of the things I learned over the last 6 years of blogging is to keep up with it. It's you. It's your brand. It's your baby. You'll do anything and everything for it. But then, you also have that little voice inside your head that says What if no one likes it. What if I fail? What if no one purchases my items from my shop?
The best advice someone gave me about blogging was this: Keep At It.
When you seem overwhelmed at what to post, how to post, what hundreds of social platforms to post on, how to create a newsletter, what you should even talk about, how to reach your audience... just take a deep breath. Blogging can be scary and it is. We're all putting ourselves out there to try and get a voice heard. We want to change you with our story. We want to connect with you with our personal posts ( and they are all so powerful ). We also want to make sure that you are liking our posts, sharing our posts and are inspired by our posts.
Reach out to your friends. Reach out to a blogger who you admire. E-mail your family. The worst thing I ever did when I first started my blog was not sharing it with friends and family. Ridiculous right? It's the internet so they'll find out eventually but I was scared. After finally getting the courage to talk about blogging, why I love it so much and the purpose behind my blog, my friends and family did something amazing..they encouraged it! They read it! They shared it with their friends!
Face your fears and keep blogging friends. Your time will come when you get an email that says 'Thank you for doing what you do." "Your inspired me with this post" or "You totally read my mind today. Your post was exactly what I needed to hear". Those emails have started to come through and it warms my heart to have you all keep me going, keep me active and keep me loving what I do.
