Story: Thanksgiving starts with a tragedy hitting a small town for the Thanksgiving sales. One year later the town is preparing for the celebrations against the campaign for justice for the people who were killed.

Jessica (Verlaque) and her friends find themselves in the middle of both sides. However, the town faces a new threat as a killer wearing a John Carver mask starts targeting people involved the year before. With the town in panic, Jessica leads her friends in trying to uncover the truth, however, the bodies keep turning up.

Verdict on Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a horror thriller following a small town recovering from a tragic event. They are looking to celebrate the holidays again. However, a killer has come to town to get revenge on the people involved in the incident the year before.

This is a movie based on the trailer from the Grindhouse movies. The latest one to get the full feature treatment for Eli Roth. This is a movie that feels a lot like ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’, using the holiday incident for revenge. It is filled with graphic brutal kills, even if we find ourselves supporting the killer throughout the movie. The added mystery is who is behind the mask, even if a few scenes eliminate potential suspects.

We get a fantastic opening sequence with pure chaos, gnarly effects and showing the worst in humanity. This has an excellent effects team behind everything going on, as well as giving us unique kills. Overall, this is a treat that horror fans can enjoy on a yearly anniversary.
