Canadian Indie Vets The Butler Brothers Return With Dark and Weird Thriller THANKS FOR THE ROOM.

Thanks for the Room – Release News

Actor Kosa Akaraiwe Stars as a Desperate Man Drawn into Darkness Via a Job as a Mysterious Midnight Courier

Prolific Canadian filmmaking duo The Butler Brothers have just released their poster art and unreleased images for the paranoia-driven thriller THANKS FOR THE ROOM. The film features indie genre stars Kosa Akaraiwe (THE DAY LACEY CALLED), Sayla de Goede (THE NIGHTS BEFORE CHRISTMAS), and Nick Biskupek (THE MOUSE TRAP).
Laid off due to the viral illness sweeping the globe, Byron is barely holding his life together. With eviction looming and his marriage crumbling, he takes a job as a midnight courier at a pandemic hotel for the unhoused, hoping to scrape together enough cash to keep his family afloat. But the gig quickly drags him into the underbelly of a broken system where addiction, desperation, and survival blur into one. Running odd and often illicit errands for the hotel’s guests, Byron starts to realize just how thin the line is between stability and the streets. When a deaf woman named Dawn suddenly vanishes, and bodies begin quietly disappearing from the hotel, his suspicions spiral into obsession. But standing up and asking the wrong questions comes with consequences. After losing everything and finding himself unhoused, Byron is beaten down by the same system he thought he was above, learning the hard way that once you’re on the bottom, there’s no easy way back up. Gritty, unfiltered, and relentlessly tense, Thanks for the Room is a raw, street-level descent into survival and paranoia.
