On this Veterans day I really want you to take the time to say thank you to a Veteran. Over the years we have gotten a little jaded towards the military and what they do, but much like the firefighters of 9-11 they run into dangerous situations without thinking and help people.
Right now countless US service members are mobilizing and headed to the Philippines to help those people out of the devastation they have experienced. Maybe they’ll help keep order from looters, maybe they’ll help rebuild communities, and maybe they’ll help rescue a family who has been stranded for days buried under debris. That’s something to be thankful for.
But even beyond that, we can thank them for protecting us from other terrorist attacks. They are on the front lines everyday risking their lives for us so that we can enjoy the freedoms we enjoy. So no matter what you might think about the military and what they are doing in other countries they are doing great things. They have done great things and they deserve our respect and our thanks.
So to all the service men and women of our country, past, present, and future I thank you for what you do. Keep up the good work!
