Former Member of Parliament Thalatha Athukorala has been appointed as the General Secretary of the United National Party (UNP).
The announcement was made by UNP Chairman Wajira Abeywardane, stating that the appointment was decided by former President and UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.
