Democrats were hoping to make some inroads in Texas on Election Night, but it didn't happen. Note that Republicans won every statewide race by a significant margin -- and they won most districts for the U.S. House and the Texas Legislature. It is obvious that Texas is still a bright red state.
I still believe change will come. Whites are already a minority in Texas schools, and will soon be in the population as a whole. But it may take another couple of decades for this to start showing up in elections.
