Tesla released its second-quarter financial data on Wednesday, and the big news is the electric car maker made a profit, also during the Corona virus Pandemic. Perhaps even more news is that Tesla has officially decided where to place its next Gigafactory in the United States: Austin, Texas. This new plant will be the Cyber truck and Semi and will be responsible for manufacturing Model 3 and Model Y for the eastern half of the United States.
"It is right on the Colorado River and we have a boardwalk next door. It will be an ecological paradise and open to the public," said Tesla CEO Elon Musk during the company's earnings call on Wednesday.
