Memphis police say a 10-year-old boy has died from what they believe was an accidental shooting.More disgraceful down-playing of the seriousness of gun negligence.
Police spokeswoman Karen Rudolph said officers received a call around 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday about a shooting at a local residence.
When they arrived, they discovered a young boy had been shot. The child was transported to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to a police report, several individuals were in the residence when a shot was fired, striking the boy.
Police didn't provide further details, except that the shooting appears to have been accidental.
