While delivering the Budget 2024 speech President Ranil Wickremesinghe said that, “it is necessary to develop a national programme to enhance English literacy in Sri Lanka. The aim of this programme is to provide English literacy to all by 2034.”
Rs. 500 million has been allocated to start this ten-year programme.
