Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
There are three months left in the year, and I took September off from reading challenges. Here are ten books to read if I want to beat some of my challenges:
For my TBR Pile Challenge:
- Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter by Tom Franklin
- Burnt Shadows by Kamila Shamsie
- Les Miserables by Victor Hugo
- The Gowk Storm by Nancy Brysson Morrison
- The Brain that Changes Itself by Norman Doidge
For Read Harder and Reading Women:
- An epistolary novel or collection of letters: Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
- An #ownvoices book set in Oceania: The Things She’s Seen by Ambelin Kwayamilla
- A comic by an LGBTQIA creator: Relish by Lucy Knisely
- A play by a female author: Ruined by Lynn Nottage
- A book about a woman athlete: Forward by Abby Wambach
And here are some of the categories I still have outstanding, in case you have some ideas:
- A book about nature
- A book of manga
- A book written in prison
- A collection of poetry published since 2014
- A Lambda Literary Award winner
What’s on your fall TBR?
