Ten Amazing Garden Sheds Made From Recycled Things

By Russell Deasley @Worlds_Top_10

These days you can buy a shed for pennies at many garden shops, but why buy one when you could get the satisfaction of making one! You will need some serious skills to replicate many of these sheds you are about to see, but if you can pull it off that simple garden shed could become a thing of pride...

Bowling Balls

While the shed is made with a sort of wooden frame with shelving it is still covered externally with bowling balls. If you know of an old bowling club closing down it might be worth grabbing all the old balls.

Doors

The more doors you have the bigger the shed you can build I suppose, but having just 4 doors is just enough for a nice sized garden tools shed.

Rubber Tyres

While the main frame is made of wood the covering is made from cut-up tyres from cars, vans and trucks. The good news is this shed is very waterproof, but the bad news is it might get a little hot in the summer.

Wine Bottles

This person calls this his "Blotto grotto" but essentially it is a garden shed made up from over 5,000 wine bottles and very little else. It's colourful I suppose, but very difficult to replicate.

Old Boat

By the looks of it, this is slices of an old boat and would have been just as good if made from the whole bottom of one. It's a good shape and perfect for a shed roof as it is sure to keep the water off it!

Windshields

I suppose you could go to a scrap yard to get this many windshields and it does at least double up as an eco greenhouse as well as a shed. This is an odd one, but interesting nevertheless.

Car Bonnets

It's not just the windscreen from a car that can be used to make a shed, you could use a load of car bonnets as well. It looks sturdy enough, but I would imagine it is one hot shed to be in during the summer.

Grain Silo

You only really need the top part of a grain silo to make this garden shed and very little else. But I would imagine this shed would feel more like an oven under the hot summers sun.

Wooden Pallets

There are lots of people who have made their sheds from wooden pallets and to be honest they all look pretty good. But I think keeping some of the original pallet shapes makes you appreciate the build a little more.

Licence Plates

While it looks like the shed has a metal frame it is at least covered in thousands of licence plates and I think it looks amazing for it. I can only guess the owner of the shed has had a lot of cars!
