Temples of Youth have returned from a brief hiatus with brand new single ‘Rose Tinted’. The release comes ahead of a hometown show supporting Mystery Jets at Winchestival in Winchester on 27 September.
Having honed their sound with support slots to bands including Pale Waves and Weaves, this gorgeous slice of dream pop has elements of the new wave and goth movements of the ’80s while sitting nicely alongside contemporary artists including Beach House and Cigarettes After Sex. Floating guitar hooks signal the start of the album as Jo Carson reminisces on happier times: ‘You came around, who can save you now… Something to talk about’. Jo and Paul Gumma then warn the subject of their affections to stay inside with sweetly pitched dual vocals and stirring synths.
