Television Tuesday - True Blood
I was a huge Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan whilst I was growing up and since the series ended in 2003 I have been constantly on the look out for a new horror television show to fill the gap it left in my 'must watch shows' list.  I did try and watch a few episodes of The Vampire Diaries but personally, that wasn't the show for me and it wasn't until one of my best friends recommended True Blood that I found exactly what I had been looking for.
I know that I'm a tad late on the True Blood bandwagon, the show having launched in 2007 but it's all new and shiny to me so sorry if this post bores you! Incase you don't know the show centres around Sookie Stackhouse, a telekinetic waitress from Bon Temps, Louisiana Vampire have recently 'come out of the coffin" and are adjusting  to living a undead life alongside humans. The series follows Sookie as she meets a mysterious vampire by the name of William 'Bill' Compton who shows her that perhaps not all vampires are as evil as they are portrayed to be.
I'm currently up to season 4, episode 5 and so far so good, the story lines still have me hooked and eagerly clicking on the next episode the second the previous one ends. So far there have been a total of five seasons, with the sixth scheduled to air this summer. The last thing I'll point out is that this is defiantly a mature show and requires a fairly strong stomach as there's more gore and blood than you could shake a stick at, but don't let that stop you from turning in, it's a heck of a show and shouldn't be missed.love jade.
