“Teen Mom” star Farrah Abraham is receiving criticism for her decision to wax her 3-year-old daughter’s eyebrows. The mom said her daughter had a uni-brow. She writes on her blog:
“Recently I could not ignore it, like I know I’ve seen Madonna’s daughter have a stand out uni brow, I remember when I was little I had a uni-brow, but I couldn’t remember if there was an age limit, a rule!” she wrote.
ABC News reports that Abraham has had a breast augmentation, a chin implant and rhinoplasty. She finally decided the waxing “had to be done.” She says this has nothing to do with her.
After unsuccessfully trying to wax her eyebrows she plucked them while she slept. She said she is happy with the result. She was trying to prevent her daughter from being bullied at school.
Children have very sensitive skin and therefore make this exceptionally dangerous to attempt. Not to mention that this girl will grow up with body image problems. She will think, just like her mom, that she needs to “fix” her “imperfections.”
As for this not being “about her,” yeah right. She’s the one who noticed it and it bothered her. So yeah it is about her.
I think doing something like this should be considered some sort of child abuse. I think it is reprehensible behavior from a mother who is supposed to be a good role model.
What do you think?
