Technological and communication equipment have been distributed to National Integration Officers to enhance social cohesion and reconciliation with the aim of strengthening the process of enhancing national unity, religious harmony and reconciliation.The distribution of technological equipment to National Integration Officers was held at the National Integration Division Office in Rajagiriya under the patronage of Justice and National Integration Minister Attorney Harshana Nanayakkara and the US Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Julie .J. Chung yesterday (22).
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) SCORE project has provided support for this under the direction of the Ministry of Justice and National Integration.
Communication and technical equipment including 61 laptops had been distributed and documents related to the distribution of computer equipment were also exchanged at the event. J. Kaartthigeyan, Head of the SCORE Project Operations Division of the USAID and Justice and National Integration Ministry’s National Integration Division Additional Secretary P. Kuganathan signed the relevant documents for the provision of equipment.
