Today, November 16, 2012. My team, the new breed of Kilo goes to Laiya, Batangas for an overnight of fun and bonding at the beautiful beach resort of Punto Miguel at Bgy. Laiya Aplaya, San Juan Batangas.
It’s time to go out and think about ourselves and separate from the stressful work and be kids again, enjoying the beach and doing nothing but fun and of course each others company.
Then on Saturday November 17, 2012 it will be followed by Mt. Daguldol climb hosted by yours truly and the L.O.S.T. Team for an extended weekend get away for the love of great outdoors, hiking and mountaineering.

Fun-filled activities are aplenty and one is sure to keep the body energized. For the water sports enthusiasts, we have jetskis, banana boats and snorkels. Guests can also go diving, fishing, island hopping, hiking/trekking and camping. A team can enjoy some competitive but fun beach volleyball. For those who love nature, we have boats for hire for some sightseeing & snorkeling activities. For an evening of bonding, bonfire may be set-up. For those who just want to relax & soothe those tired muscles, a spa/massage would be the ideal option. Above all, the white sands beach can provide the young ones and the not so young ones a lot of fun.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS – Punto Miguel White Sands & Paraiso de Miguel
* via IBAAN *
1) Take SLEX (South Luzon Expressway) southbound.
2) Continue on and enter the Star Tollway.
3) Upon entry, travel 33 km then take the San Jose / Ibaan exit (Exit 93)
4) After exiting the Star Tollway, turn left and travel 2.5km.
5) At main road intersection, turn left towards Rosario.
6) Just a few meters you will see a fork road, turn right towards Rosario.
7) Travel 8km along this road and you will reach Rosario town proper. Drive passby Jollibee & South Star Drug.
8) Travel approx 23km until you reach the San Juan Town proper.
9) From San Juan, turn right after the San Juan Municipal Hall. This is the main road to Laiya.
10) Follow the main road and travel 23km.
11) After the Laplaya Pit Stop (convenience store) on the right side, just a few meters, you will see a small street on the opposite / left side of the road leading to Punto Miguel and other resorts (Kabayan,etc.); turn left on this road.
12) Follow directional signs leading to Punto Miguel.
* For Paraiso de Miguel, travel 5km further from Punto Miguel White Sands main road entrance.
However, at present, there is a 3km stretch of rough road going to Paraiso de Miguel as road development is on-going. For safety, we recommend our guests for Paraiso de Miguel to get off at Punto Miguel White Sands, then take the complimentary 10-minute boat transfer to Paraiso de Miguel.
* via LIPA *
1) Take SLEX (South Luzon Expressway) southbound.
2) Continue on and enter the Star Tollway.
3) Upon entry, travel 22km and take the Lipa City exit (Exit 82)
4) After exiting the Star Tollway, turn right and drive towards Lipa City, transverse to C.M. Recto Avenue.
5) Turn right at the corner of the Mercury Drug store which is P. Torres St. towards Padre Garcia town.
6) Make a left turn at the road sign pointing to Padre Garcia.
7) Turn right after passing the Padre Garcia town market.
8) When you see the main signage leading to the Batangas Racing Circuit to your left, straight ahead towards San Juan town proper.
9) From San Juan, turn right after the San Juan Municipal Hall. This is the main road to Laiya.
10) Follow the main road and travel 23km.

From San Juan, take a jeep to Laiya (approx 20min). After the Laplaya Pit Stop convenience store (on the right side), just a few meters further get off main road entrance towards Punto Miguel, Kabayan etc. on the lefthand side. Can take tricycle going inside or just walk in. Before the main gate of Kabayan, turn left. Follow signs to Punto Miguel.

ALTERNATIVE COMMUTE DIRECTIONS – Punto Miguel White Sands & Paraiso de Miguel
-Take bus from Manila going to Lipa City (approx. 1.5 hours). Get off bus terminal near McDonalds/Jollibee/Shakeys.
- Take tricycle to jeep terminal at City Market (approx 10min.).
- Take jeep to San Juan (approx 45min). Get off San Juan Town Market.
- Take Jeep to Laiya (approx 20min). After the Laplaya Pit Stop convenience store (on the right side), just a few meters further get off main road entrance towards Punto Miguel, Kabayan etc. on the lefthand side. Can take tricycle going inside or just walk in. Before the main gate of Kabayan, turn left. Follow signs to Punto Miguel.

- Travel 7km further, follow road signages.
- Punto Miguel Lakeshore is just behind the Balete Municipal Hall & fronting the Taal Lake.
COMMUTE DIRECTIONS – Punto Miguel Lakeshore
- From Manila, take any bus going to Lipa-Tanauan.
- Get off at Levitown in Lipa.
- There’s a road going to Balete, take jeep or tricycle and get off near the Balete Municipal Hall.
- Punto Miguel Lakeshore is just behind the Balete Municipal Hall & fronting the Taal Lake.
