The TD Credit Card offers the following:

  • Travel Medical Insurance: This is applicable only for 15-day trips for cardholders under 65 and for 4-day trips for cardholders 65 and above. If the trip is longer than that, the insurance will apply to the first 15 days (or the first four days in the case of seniors).

To Redeem Your TD Points for Travel:

  • They can be redeemed for your flights as well as for train and bus travels, car rentals, airport parking etc.
  • Book your travel through any way you like — travel websites and agents or through the Expedia for TD or the TD Travel Rewards centre and charge it to the TD First Class Visa Infinite Credit Card. If you did not purchase through the last two options, contact the TD Travel Rewards Centre within 90 days of the transaction date. The TD Points will be deducted from your account to pay for the charge. If your available TD Points are not sufficient to cover the travel, you will have to pay the rest.

Some Numbers:

200 points equal 1 TD Point.

That is if you buy your groceries or gas through your card, you will spend 67 dollars for 1 TD Point.

If you purchase your travel through the Expedia for TD or TD Travel Rewards Centre, you will spend 23 dollars for every TD Point.

In other words, you earn 1.5 percent for every dollar spent on non-travel items, and 4.5 percent for every dollar on travel purchases through the TD partners.

The card costs $ 120, so the first year, you will earn $ 80.
