Taylor & Rachael’s Stunning Stonyridge Wedding

We are so excited to share Taylor and Rachael's wedding with you. Their day was full of laughter, tears, and lots of love! We love all the special moments captured by Wonder Ferris.
Couple Taylor Johnston & Rachael White (now Johnston!)
Venue Stonyridge Vineyard, Waiheke Island (family vineyard owned by Rachael's uncle).
Number of Guests 110

Our love story began... we are high school sweethearts. We met when we were 13 years old and then rekindled when we were 16 and have been together since. This made our day that much more special because all our friends and families have watched our love grow for the last 11 years!

I said yes... On our 10 year anniversary, Taylor finally popped the question at Western Springs Park whilst having a picnic!

Our wedding style was... The vineyard is so beautiful as is, so we integrated the light greens, wood and burnt rose colours from the vineyard into our decor, bridesmaids dresses and flowers.

Inspiration for the day... To celebrate love, unite two families and to have fun.

What made our wedding unique... Taylor's Samoan heritage was a very unique part, there was a passing down of his fathers Le Toga (Samoan mat) which was blessed, then I did the Siva which is when the bride performs a very delicate, graceful dance to her husband.

We saved on... Venue costs was a lot less than the normal because of it being a family vineyard, but I also DIY'd all the signage and invitations myself.

We splurged on... My dress and our wedding bands! Which will remain with us forever so we glad we did.

If I could do anything differently... Nothing, it was the best day of our lives. We couldn't have changed a thing!
