However, most parts of the Tata Safari remained intact after a fighter plane crashed into it.

Time and time again, Tata Motors has impressed us with the build quality of its cars. The incident is a bit old, but it is enough to catch the attention of car enthusiasts.

In 2016, a MIG 27 fighter jet crashed in a residential area of Jodhpur, where Tata Safari was stationed. The plane took off from an air base on the outskirts of town and due to some technical flaws the pilots lost control and crashed. Fortunately, the two pilots who were flying the plane managed to eject themselves in time and therefore saved their lives.

Sources say the plane first crashed into a house before hitting Tata Safari in the parking lot. The fighter plane scratched the back of the car before coming to a stop.

The upper rear part of the car was completely damaged, especially the area near the fuel tank. It's a bit of a surprise that the car didn't catch on fire considering the ferocity of the impact. Perhaps the SUV's fuel tank was empty or there was very little fuel. During this time, the flames came out of the plane but the pilots and others were able to extinguish the fire.

Coming back to the Tata Safari, the front half of the SUV was in good condition. There was no effect on the car's chassis, engine and front bumper. Even the wheels and axles were in the right place.

Tata has always placed great emphasis on manufacturing quality

We have seen Tata Motors' cars save lives in the most tragic accidents. We have seen the owners of Tata's cars tell their own stories after being rescued due to the quality and safety standards of their cars. However, this time around, Tata Safari has proven its build quality to be simply "unmatched".

Although it is obvious that Tata Safari had a partial impact of the fighter plane, but if it was another car, the results could have been different. Tata Safari is no longer manufactured by the automaker. Production of Tata Safari stopped in 2017, when Tata was not as famous for its build quality as it is today. Additionally, the Safari involved in the incident is an older model, indicating that Tata has always maintained its build quality, with the exception of a few cars like Tata Nano.

After this incident involving the old Tata Safari, one can only imagine the build quality of Tata Motors' current line of cars.
