If you're familiar with Newcastle, you might remember when Yo! Sushi used to reside inside Fenwick Food Hall. It upped and left not too long ago - but little did we know, the sushi guys were planning to open a new flagship restaurant, right on Grainger Street. I headed along to their launch party to see what the new setting was like...and try a few dishes from the new menu.
The new menu, Taste of TokYo! looks to bring a more authentic Japanese dining experience to Yo! Sushi restaurants. The hairy prawns have gone though (apparently they've been gone for two years, so we found out - yes, I went back on the Sunday after the launch night, nothing wrong with sushi twice in one week, right?) Anyway, let's not dwell on the hairy prawns as there's so many new dishes to try! Including a squid dish that looked decidedly like pasta - which I really enjoyed.
