Ken Marquis of the Landfill Art Project is putting out a final call to talented artists of all kinds to contribute their creative energy to this enterprise. Ken wrote to me recently: "A wonderful museum has expressed a sincere interest in the Project and has suggested that they perhaps should be the first venue for a traveling show."
Ken finds old hubcaps in landfills, cleans them up, and provides one to each artist who joins the project. Each of us tranforms our hubcap into art through paint, collage, sculpture, or any other media. An individual piece makes a personal expression that contributes to the larger message of the entire project.
