One of the many treasured tasks that became frequent during my year without buying clothing, was hand me downs. When my friends called me or invited me over and said they had a stack of clothes for me to go through, I jumped on the possibilities.
It is finding treasures like this dress, that make me want to do a big swap in Nashville, one that is on the scale the Swapaholics or something like that. One of my best friends bought this dress a few years ago on a shopping trip we went on. When we hung out this weekend and she pointed to the pile of clothes on her dining room table, I saw the skirt of this dress peaking out. It has always been one of my favorite dresses of hers (and I don't think I ever borrowed it while we were living together).
